Choir to perform KA YS VILLE The T LDS Choir will perform Sunday at the Kaysville 15th Ward, 555 N. 100 E. at 8:30 a.m. SELECTIONS will include, Prayer of Thanksgiving, Love One Another, featurAmerica, The Beautiful, ing tenor soloist Dr. George Doxey, Jr. and Psalm 8 with music composed for the choir by Northern Utah musician Wilford Young. Brass vocal soloist Bruce Harshbarger will sing God Forth, accompanied by pianist Bonnie Merrill. SPEAKERS are choir members Lela Stewart. Diane Earnshaw and choir secretary, Linda Lofgreen. Organist is Lowell Marriott Harrop and conductors are r and Jerry Harrop. Robin-Mille- THURGOOD Seeks Syracuse mayoral post DeLore W. (Dee) Thurgood is a candidate for mayor of Syracuse. MR. THURGOOD is 57 years old and recently retired from a senior management position with the U.S. Air Force after serving 34 years in civil service and five years active duty with the U.S. Navy. He was born in Ogden and has been a resident of Syracuse the major part of his life. Mr. Thurgood graduated from Davis High School and attended Weber State College where he majored in accounting and business administration. DHS Homecoming - KAYSVILLE Alumni were welcomed once again at Davis High Schools Homecoming, a week of activities and events planned by Senior class officers and committee. DAVID Kinard was Master of Ceremonies at the Welcome Assembly on Friday. The parade that evening was organized by the Junior Class Committee, and the Homecoming Dance featured the music of Trax. Alphavilles Forever Young was the theme song for the dance. Royalty for Homecoming, 1985, included: Cori Covington, Queen; Jennifer Adams, attendant; Heather Hobday, attendant and Amy Sargent, attendant. Other were: Crystal Bell and Mady Degraw. The PTA held a drawing at iiuuTimp n tiie football game to give away a stadium quilt they n tv. uC The quilt was won by Principal Stevenson. Alumni enjoyed a social at the Davis High Cafeteria on Friday also, me semi-finalis- HE BRINGS to the mayor position experience, commitment and 544-034- leadership. His experience has been varied and broad, having served as a professional accountant, financial manager, budget Civilian Service Award. HE IS an active member of the LDS Church and has served in many leadership positions. He is married to the former Dolores Hull.
