They all attended the Millard Jr. High Graduation exercises May 21. The Murray's grand- daughter, Kathy Moore, was a member of the class. Kathy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Moore. The Rays are very dear friends of the Murray family. each known Having other for many Other guests of the Murrays who they were very happy to have come to see them were their son, James, his wife, Susie, and daughters, Shunna and Amanda, of arriving Alberquerque, May 24 and staying until 30th. May 29 was Jack and Phyllis Wed- ding Anniversary. Their children made this a special and memorable occasion. Mary and Susie went all out to prepare a delicious dinner with Susie making and decora- ting a beautiful wedding cake. Of course grandchil- dren Shane, Kathy, and Amanda added their bit of help. Mr. Howard Tomkinson and daughter, Mrs. Tom (Ann) Stephenson of SLC, were overnight guests Friday night of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melville Tomkinson. Mrs. Laura Atha is here from her home in SLC with her daughter and Arleen and Grant Robinson. Friends of Lauras from the City stopped by to visit her on their way to California, Friday. Keith Neil son came from his employment in Alaska to look after his farming interests here. His parents, Don and Jean Neilson, enjoy having their son visit them between his busy farm schedule. Ruthmary Brower returned Memorial Day after spending an able two weeks visiting her sister, Mrs. Zola Utley, in Ogden and her daughter and Mary Lou and Blaine Buck, and two girls and Ruthmarys niece, Merr-yearley, Mary Lou and daugh- ter, Cindy, brought her sister, Marba Terry, of Lehi, their mother, Zola, and Ruthmary home on Memorial Day and visited the cemetery in Fillmore. Also coming that day to visit Ruthmary were her sister, Shirley, and hus-th- e band, Lowell Dobson, of Spanish Fork, nephew Keith Utley and wife, Glenna, and niece Mrs. Gary Litzo of the Salt Lake area, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Allen took their children to SLC May 28 where they enjoyed the day at the zoo. This was to celebrate daughter Wendys day. Lynn's mother, Edna Hogan, lives in the Salt Lake area and they took her along with them. Lauri Nielsen of Provo spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nielsen, sister Heidi, and grandfather, William Nielsen. Douglas Newlyweds, anj Fern Rasmussen Law of SLC attended church here Sunday (Fern is a former Flowell resident). They were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Christensen. The Laws were on a honeymoon trip to the Moab area, Dead Horse Point and other places of interest. Bishop Kent Swallow conducted Sacrament Meeting Sunday. Rodney Tomkinson received a sustaining vote to be advanced from the office 0f Deacon to a Teacher enjoy-graduati- son-in-la- birth-Shann- a, ed Saturday night. Giar-le- s Scott Davis, son of G?ne and Nina Davis, was baptized by Jim Brinker-hof- f and confirmed a member of the LDS Church at Sacrament Meeting by Danny Allen. Trevor Ellison, son of David and Wendy Ellison, was baptized and confirmed by his father. The baby daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Durand Robison was given the name Jessica and a father's blessing by her father. Those with standing Durand were little JessNed icas grandfathers, Wardel and Junior RobiKevin son, uncles, and Mark Wardel, David Ellison, Jarold Robison, and the Bishopric. Pearl Robison and daughter, Tess, served dinner to those mentioned and the following; the wife of Ned Wardle and their children, the wives and two children each of Kevin and Mark, Marge Torkelson, Fauntella Robison, and Stella Brinkerhoff, also Mr. and Mrs. David Ellison and children. Mr. and Mrs. Craig Stratton of (Connie) Hurricane were weekend guests of her parents, Don Mr. and Mrs. Tomkinson, Laurel and and grandRodney parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melville Tomkinson. Mrs. Donald (Erma) is at home Spotten convalescing after surgery in SLC. Archie Christensen is a patient at the Veterans Hospital in SLC. He expects to be able to come home June 8 or 9. He entered the hospital June 3. Jack Murray is not well, but is able to be at home with excellent care from his wife, Phyllis. We wish these people the best of health very soon!!! Mrs. Don Baldwin and daughter, Mrs. Gregory Solberg, and baby, Derek, of Beaver came to see Carenes parents. Mr. and Mrs. J. Delial Ivie, on June 2. The next day Clayton Williams of Nephi came to see the Ivies, his sister. especially Fillmore Highlights By Angie Green Rose Rogers enjoyed short visits from family members and friends on Memorial Day. Among them were her daughter, Frances her husband R.M. Green and their daughter Jennie from Roland Heights, Cal., Jake Rogers came for a few days and finished installing Roses sprinkling system, and Christine Mathews of Cedar City dropped in for a short visit on her way to Logan. June 11 is Roses birthday. I promised not to tell her age, so I'll give her eighty-fiv- e hip, hip, and many hoorays, wishes for the happiest day ever. Zina Peterson enjoyed a busy Memorial weekend with members of her family, they were: her sister, Maxine and husband Pat McCrene of sister, Brigham City; Naomi and husband Ross Williams of Tooele. They have just returned from a mission in Ohio, so this was an especially joyous and Zinas reunion; brother, Newell Day and wife Lucy from Manti, they not only visited Zina but also their sons Dwight and Lee Day. John and Jeannie Dean have returned home after attending a week long family reunion at the beautiful ranch belonging to Jeannies brother, Rulon Scott, and wife, Faye in Show Low, Arizona. There were ten adults and twenty children under the age of 13 there. Jeannie says they had a wonderful time eating, hiking, visiting and eating some more. There was lots of fresh milk, eggs, cream and butter, and lots of children to enjoy it. Jeannies Virgie, who was ill. Mrs. Overson Lucille also came. On June 6th the Ivies enjoyed a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Douglas (Fern) Law of SLC. Layton and Nora Jack-so- n enjoyed Memorial holiday guests. They were Noras sister, Mina, and her husband, Leonard Erickson, of Beaver on May 28, and Noras sister, Flora, and husband, Everett Bushnell, of Tooele on May 29. The Jacksons and Bush-nelvisited the Meadow and Fillmore Cemeteries and enjoyed a gracious dinner prepared by Nora. The Bushnells returned home the same day. Kenneth Brunson, son of Nora Day Jackson came home June S after a three week stay in the Payson Hospital following back surgery. He came home a week earlier, but had to be rushed back because of a kidney infection. All seems to be under control now and he is recovering at home. Hila Forbes of Fillmore has been admitted to the to Hospital Payson receive treatment in an effort to save her leg from amputation. She is a diabetic and has had serious problems since only ls her other leg was amputated some time ago. Tonia and the boys are still here but will return home June 12, when Wayne come to pick them up. Wayne had to return to work so couldnt enjoy the full two weeks vacation. They all spent Memorial Day together, though, visiting the Kanosh and Fillmore Cemeteries; and eating one of Garas delicious dinners. La Mar and Fern Brunson welcomed into their home a number of Memorial holiday guests, among them were their son Barry, wife Carolyn and their children Stacy and Jed of SLC. Ferns sister, Margaret Rowley, of SLC and her sister, Dorothy, and her husband, Glen Swanburg, of SLC. Also joining the family gathering were La Mars two sisters, of Western, Myrtle Deseret and Nora Hanson of Redmond. Mary Jean Edwards is delightful enjoying her daughter guests, Wilma, husband Louis Frucci and their baby daughter, Adria of Logan, also Mary Jeans grandson, Delyle Sylvester of Brigham City. Mary Jean is delighted to report her daughter, Mary Jo Edwards who joined the Navy about five months ago, has graduated from boot camp in Orlando, Florida, and is in now stationed Penn., Philadelphia, with the rank of Fireman. That means she is a class A number one welder.
