Show ft. October Spring diht Annie Nielsen honored on birthday at Fairview Nielson, the wards oldest member. She became 92 years old on that day. A program was furnished by the entire group. They sang Happy Birthday" to Mrs. Nielson. Other program numbers were a piano solo, Colleen Morley; tribute, Edna Larsen; the group sang, and then Mrs. Nielson entertained her guests by reciting two lengthy readings she had learned in her youth. Everyone was amazed and delighted at her wonderful memory and a Jier Obvious enjoyment. President Ida 0. Donaldson presented Mrs. Nielson with a lovely floral arrangement in behalf of the Relief Society and a birthday card was signed by all present. Cake and ice cream were furnished by the Relief Society presidency with a refreshing drink served by Mrs. Nielsons daughters. Attending the party were: Ida Moroni West Ward Relief Society held a surprise birthday party October 13 honoring Annie The Fairview Jaycettes are sponsoring a bake sale Friday morning at ten a.m. at the Fairview City Park. Proceeds will go into community projects sponsored by the unit. Mrs. Dudley (Marie) underwent surgery Friday Sanpete LDS Hospital. Mrs. Orlin Rowe in the A. Simons has returned home from a Salt Lake hospital where she underwent hip surgery three weeks ago. Mrs. Elliott (Maurine) Watson of Salt Lake City visited here Saturday evening with Mrs. J. (Joyce) Campbell and small daughter Dawn have arrived here from Fort Eustace, Virginia, to spend a month at the home of Mrs. Campbells parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin anniversary of ALL better place to live and make Mr. and Mrs. DeNeal Anderson, Granger, visited here Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Glen Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Tulley of Portland, Oregon, were calling on friends here last Friday. Mr. Tulley, a former resident of Mt. Pleasant, reports his son Roger who graduated from North Sanpete High School, is presently serving an LDS mission in Denmark. A - Manti Temple vows to unite Jackie Smith, Frank Peterson Mr. and Mrs. Harold Smith of Granger have announced the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter Jackie to Mr. Frank L. Peterson, son of Mr. Earl Peterson of Moroni. The couple will exchange vows in Manti L.D.S. Temple rites December 15. Miss Smith is a graduate of Granger High School and LDS Seminary and Utah Technical College where she was active in Lambda Delta Sigma. She is presently working as a key punch operator in Salt Lake City. Mr. Peterson is a graduate of North Sanpete High School and Seminary, Snow College, and Snow College Institute of Religion. He is presently attending Utah Technical College studying building construction. He is affiliated with Sigma Gamma Chi fraternity and serving as vice president at the present time. They will make their home in Salt Lake City.
