In September 1921, the father and his eight children were all together, at Manti, for the last time. When father Angelo died in 1924, Theodore was in the missionfield, and was unable to join his brothers and sisters for the funeral. The reunion in Sparks was truly a time of rejoicing, and of relating experiences and activities. Also enjoying the reunion were Evans son Randall with his wife Beverly and their two children Michael & Kris Ann, and Irenes daughter Benita with her husband Ray Kelly and daughter Kelli Rae. Theodore recalled that even though they had been separated by miles, they had remained a closely knit family through correspondence and through frequent visits of parts of the family. It was agreed that future reunions should be planned and held. Earl, who has had a serious illness, hopes it will be an annual affair. Of the first importance then in the question of school consolidation is the bussing out of town of our children. There is also a great loss of individuality of the student, not to mention the "deaf ear" that Is turned to us, the parents, by the large consolidated school systems and the reduced participation by both the student and the parent alike. We need to have our children here where we live. Our schools must not be removed from our communities! Each one of our communities needs the school it has!
