Manti, Utah Utah a Valley cerebral Mrs. Anderson Heart attack claims woman Funeral services lor Mrs. Lola Juanita Bell Anderson, 56, who died October 10, 1972 at her home of a heart attack, were held Saturday afternoon in Mt. Pleasant Second LDS Ward chapel. She was born March 29, 1916 in Centerfield, Iowa, to Manfred and Mary Askerm Bell. She married Lorenzo Anderson, October 11, 1941 in Ely, Nevada. Employed at L and M Trailer Company, Ephraim, the past seven years, she was a finisher. She was a member of the LDS Church. Surviving are her husband, Mt. Pleasant; brothers, sister, William and Michael Bell, both Miles City, Montana; Mrs. Nick (Betty) Volz, Baker, Montana; half brothers, Dean Corcoran, Dan Corcoran, both of Las Vegas, Nevada, and both of whom she reared. Dennis Slack, counselor in the Second Ward bishopric, conducted the services. Prayer at the mortuary was given by Rodney L. Rowe; prelude and postlude music, Ethel Porter; invocation, Joseph L. Lund; vocal duet, Thaetta Larsen and Verda Mae Seely, accompanied by Ethel Porter; violin solo, Katie Hansen, accompanied by Roger Hansen; speakers, Ray P. Cox, Bishop Leo C. Larsen, Jack Stack with remarks by Counselor Slack; benediction, Jack Stack. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery directed by Ursenbach Funeral Home. Bishop Glen Hardy dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Morris Draper, Merrill Nay, Danny Ney, LeVoir Shepherd, Bill Sorensen, Bob Sorensen. Mrs. Rosemary Allred and son Mark, Salt Lake City, visited here Saturday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Cloward. Deseret Chemical Warfare Depot until 1945 when he opened the Turpin Garage in Provo. He was an auto machanic and in 1956 he started the Turpin Radiator Shop which he ran until he retired in 1963. He was a member of the American Legion and a life member of the DAV. His hobby was fishing. Surviving him is his wife, four sons and two daughters, Ilo Maurice Turpin, Livermore, Calif.; Shirley L. Turpin, Springville; Welby L. (Jim) Turpin Jr., Salem; Frank L. Turpin and Mrs. James (Barbara) Ryan, both of Provo; and Mrs. Francis Slye, St. George; 21 grandchildren; 10 Provo; three sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Odessa) Young, Fairview; Mrs. Herb (Vera) Davis, Orange, Calif., and Mrs. Robert (Ethyl) Dixon, Van Nuys, Calif. Funeral services and burial were at Provo. Mrs. Lund Services held Monday for Melissa B. Lund Melissa Bailey Lund, 88, of Moroni, died of natural causes in the Nephi, Juab County hospital Oct. 13, 1972. Born Nov. 18, 1883, Moroni, a daughter of John and Charlotte Shepherd Bailey. Married Lewis Lund, Nov. 6, 1907 in Moroni. He died May 22, 1963. Member LDS church and Moroni West Ward Relief Society. Survivors: sons, daughters: Glen Lewis, Steamboat Springs, Colo.; John Ordell, Miami, Florida; Clair Bailey, Ogden; Eddie Barclay, Clifford Connell, Mrs. Arthur Farrel (Ada) Mrs. all Moroni; Hatch, Florence Taffi, Herkimer, New York; Mrs. Alten R. (Lois) Brotherson, Mt. Pleasant; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren. Funeral in Moroni Monday, Oct. 16, 1972. Burial in Moroni City Cemetery. Funeral services were held Monday, October 2nd, at the Moroni LDS Stake Center, with Bishop Kayle Morley officiating. Preliminary and postlude music was by Colleen Morley. The invocation was given by Ralph Anderson. Speakers were Alton Brotherson and Mr. Clinger. A tribute was given by Ilene Peterson and a reading by Avrin Brotherson. The benediction was by Boyd Brotherson and the grave was dedicated by Ferrell Hatch. Card of Thanks to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who were so kind and considerate during the illness and death of our daughter and sister, Mary Hansen Wheeler. We especially thank those who sent cards and flowers and participated in the beautiful services. The outstanding friendship and love shown to Mary will long be remembered. Family of Mary H. He was born in Milburn, Sanpete County Sept. 11, 1900 to LeRoy and Julia Vance Turpin. He married Flora Bethers August 8, 1918 in Provo. Mr. Turpin received his education in the Fairview City schools. He worked on the construction of the power line from Richfield to Salina and then worked for Utah Power and Light as an operator. He also worked in the coal mines and for Utah State Fish and Game, constructing the Hooper Game Reserve. He then worked for Hill Field and Ogden Arsenal Depot before going into the Navy. He served in Guadalcanal as a chief machinist mate. He was released in September, 1943 due to injuries.
