Mr. Johnson was born in at funeral rites Hattie Ward Huggins, 86, Fountain Green resident, died of natural causes February 8, 1972 in a rest home in Mayfield. Mrs. Huggins was born February 7, 1886 in Ephraim to iWilliam and Dora Bruno Ward. She was adopted and reared by Mr. and Mrs. Niels Lasson of Fairview. She married Jacob Bigler, and was later divorced. She married George W. Fountain Green, Huggins, November 1921 in the Manti LDS Temple. Holm of Ephraim were among the more than 150 outstanding high school seniors who spent February 11 and 12 at Utah State University acquainting themselves with the Logan campus, meeting faculty members and taking competitive examinations. The students from throughout the United States were competing for five University Club Scholarships worth $5,000 each. They received invitations to the examinations because of high ratings they received on ACT and National Merit tests. Students came from as far away as Columbus, Ohio; St. Paul, Minn., and New York, New York. They made their home in Fountain Green until they moved to Gunnison, approximately in 1942. Mrs. Johnson died January 21, 1965. Mr. Johnson was a member of the LDS Church. He was a retired farmer. He was bom August 27, 1884, Spring City, to Soren and Maria C. Peterson Peterson. He married Margaret Adamson, He died May 13, 1932- - Survivors are three sons: Ray L. Bigler, Orange, California; E. Gayle Huggins and June Niels Huggins, both of Fountain Green; a sister, Mrs. Leila Bean of Salt Lake; five grandchildren. Funeral services for Hattie Ward Huggins were held in the Fountain Green Ward Chapel Friday with Bishop F. Booth Cook conducting. The family prayer was offered by Oliver Field, prelude and postlude organ music by Geraldine Johnson; the ward choir, under the direction of Rita Allred, sang; invocation, Reed C. Lasson; remarks by Bishop Cook; speaker, Marjorie Hafen, director of the rest home; vocal solo, Jessie Oldroyd; speaker Jay Coombs; a hymn by the ward choir; benediction, Alvin Coombs; dedication of the grave by Ted Lasson. Pallbearers were Ray Bigler, June Huggins, Gayle Huggins, David Coombs, Evan Bigler, Billy Coombs. Floral arrangmenets were cared for by the Relief Society. Interment was in the Fountain Green City Cemetery, under the direction of the Ursenbach Funeral Home. Fountain Green June native stricken lumber dealer, former member Laine Marion Hansen, 50, Highland, Utah, died of a heart attack February 9, 1972 while traveling through Dendallville, Indiana. was born Mr. Hansen November 9, 1921 in Fountain Green, Sanpete County, to Thomas H. and Sarah Ann Rowbury Hansen. He married Beth LaRae Curtis July 6, 1946 in Nephi. He was a truck driver for the IML Lines for fifteen years. He was a Veteran of World War 22, 1910 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Mr. Peterson was a farmer, of the North Sanpete Stake High Council, Spring City councilman, Justice of the Peace and a temple worker. Survivors include his widow, sons and daughter, Mervin A., Mrs. Robert (Elsie) Heath, both of Salt Lake City; Glade A. of Murray; 12 grandchildren, 16 Funeral services were held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Mt.
