She was bom February 26, 1925 in Stone, idaho, a daughter of Harvey Virsel and Mae Cox Daley. She married Gien Daniel Spencer on August 29, 1941. The marriage was later solemnized in the idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. Donna was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterDay-Saints and served in many positions. She was an active member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers. She dearly loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her talent of cooking was enjoyed by all as she shared with friends and neighbors. She devoted many hours to making her home and yard beautiful. She loved her flowers and enjoyed sharing them with others. She felt great joy in her,life as she attended the temple. Surviving are her husband Gien of Syracuse, two sons and one daughter, one brother and twosisters, Larry G. (Joanne) Spencer and Elden G. ‘Mick’ (Nancy) Spencer,all of Syracuse, Utah; Sharlene (David) Lomax of Phoenix, Arizona, Virsel Daley, Jr. (Pauline) of Blackfoot, idaho; Lola (David) Anderson of Providence, Utah; Dorothy Lou (Ray) Mackey. of Cleburne, Texas, 14 — and 25 great grandchilren She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila Mae Wardell, her parents and ten brothers and sisters. On August 18, 1936 she married Glenn Alfred Donnelson in the Salt Lake City Temple. He preceded herin death on April 22, 1985. She had been onalored in the Housekeeping Department at McKay-Dee Hospital. She was a member of the LDS Church, Ogden 3rd and North Ogden 2nd Wards. She was a Primary teacher, a chorister, President of Young Womens Organization, Relief Society visiting teacher “and she loved music. She is survived by one son, Glenn A. (Caroli) Donnelson, North Ogden; three daughters, Marguerite (Dee) Hunsaker, North Ogden; Arlene (Paul) Ross, Farr West; Maxine (George) Garvey, Hooper; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one brother, Rulon Interment will be in the Brigham City Cemetery. He was born December 9, 1911, in Holladay, Utah to Walter and Georgina Coleman Clark. During his lifetime he had the opportunity to be married to four wonderful women...Melba Dehaan, Frances Adams, Edna Jardine and LaVon Devereux. “Coke” enjoyed and got great pleasure from gardening and fishing. Surviving are his children, Mrs. How- ard (Julie) Park of West Jordan; Mrs. De! (Marjorie) Williams of Murray; and Mr. Larry (Karen) Clark of Taylorsville; his brothers, Ken and “Wid” andsister, Thelma. Preceding him in death was LaVon, his fourth wife, his daughter, Dorothy, a granddaughter, Bonnie, brother, “Rock”, and sisters, Amy and Jones, Ogden; two sisters, Roberta Stephensen, Roy and Mabel Erskine, Effie. Following oraduation she moved to Slaterville where she married Henry J. Robert L. ‘Bob’ SUNSET - Robert L. ‘Bob’ DeMonge, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, age 74, died Thursday, Au- gust 8, 1996 of heart failure. Mary DeMonge. He enlisted in the U.S, Navy in July 1940 at Cincinnati, Ohio. During World War|i he served on submarines in the South Pacific, Philippines, Borneo, Java, Guam, Guadalcanal, Midway, australia, and other areas of conflict. On June 25, 1947 he married Ann Wellerding in Cincinnati, Ohio. He retired from the U.S. Navy Submarine Service in 1959, his last assignment being the Navy Recruiting Station in Ogden. Heretired from Thiokol Corporation in Brigham City in 1987, having worked on automobile gas bags in Ogden, and various missile systems in the Quality Engineering area. He was a charter member of the Roy Elks, a member of Ogden Ea- gles, U.S. Submarine Veterans of WWII, Fleet Reserve Association, and various private clubs. He was a member of St. Rose of Li- ma Catholic Church in Layton. He enjoyed playing pool and wood- working. She was born October 23, 1921 in Provo to Ella James and Frank Walter Meldrum, the third of five children. in 1930, at the age of 9, she was siricken with spinal meningitis which left her profoundly deaf. At that same time, she lost both of her parents. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Lula Hunter and Willard James in Marriott. She attended the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind, graduating in 1941. At school, she fell in love with Melvin J. Penman. The were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 18, 1941. They made their home in West Weber and raised seven children. She held many positions throughout the years with the LDS Church. At the Ogden Branch for the Deaf, she served in the Relief Society Presidency, the Primary and as a Visiting Teacher. For many years she served in the Genealogy Extraction Program for the Weber North Stake, and a Librarian in the West Weber Third Ward. She was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family. She enjoyed baking, sewing, quilting, crocheting, i feading, traveling, and writing letters to missionaries. Survivirg are her six daughters, Ella ‘Jane Penman Parker, Chico, Calif.; Mrs. W. Reid (Ann) Gustafson, Kays‘ville, Utah; Norma Jean Penman, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Lynn E. (Shirley) Atkinson, West Weber, Utah; Kathleen Penman, Seattle, Wash.; Margaret Penman, Kirkland Wash.; daughter-in-law Mrs. Ronaid M. (Anita) Penman, Jetersville, Va.; 23 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also sur‘vived by a sister, Mrs. Mark Merrill (Erminie) Smith, Meridian, Idaho; and two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Walter James (Afton) Meldrum, St. George, Utah and Mrs. Raymond James (Billy) Meldrum, West Valley City, Utah; as well as two brothers-in-law and their spouses, El‘mer H. and LaVon Penman, and Robert W. and Joyce Penman.
