Matheson this week signed an Executive Order creating the Rural Development Council. The Council's objectives will be to coordinate the leadership of rural development c.tween local, state, and federal agencies, to give more strength to local and state roles in the federal decision-makinprocess and to upgrade the effectivaness of both state and federal funding and service programs.
