Nielson Ph 864-316- 3 We hatjd to see Bryant and Lyraine Jones Delta Elementary School Activities Mrs. Lyman and Mrs. Harder's first grade class are out making a of a huge pumpkin. The students want to save seeds from the pumpkin to plant during their science activity on plants. At the present time, first graders in the team room are studying simple machines and how machines and family leave Sutherland our Ward. They have moved to Delta and will be in the Fourth Ward also they are not in the new Stake. We hope they will make our work easier. Mrs. Bogenshutz's second grade class is having a pumpkin carving contest. The fourth graders are out of masks making adhesive bandages. The masks are made to fit the contour of each students face. Students will use water color to paint their masks. n get his deer and they enjoyed the quiet of the ranch, away Sutherland their new home and everything there. We will miss them greatly. There were Stake auditors visiting in Sutherland Second Ward on Sunday. Michael Rose made two trips to Salt Lake Last week for dental work. Dorothy and Ned Tervortiz of Orem spent Sunday with mother Nina May. They enjoyed Ninas special steak dinner. Bert and Nina Johnson just returned from a trip to Price where they visited wjth daughter Evelyn and Carl Larsen and family. Betty Johnson enjoyed a two weeks stay at Mesa, Ariz. where she visited with her former Mission President Mrs J. Ernest Whiting. She visited also with Bryant and Cora Larsen. Cora had been in the hospital. They brought her home and took her back again because of a of her illness. We received a phone call from our sister Susie Seady who lives in Rhode Island. The temperature there is much the same as here at the present time but gets colder as the winter progresses. Gus and Nancy Fowles and family stayed at the Black Ranch for three days. They were rained out but Gus did enjoy the total number of pages read. The back of the card may be used when the front is full. Parent must sign and date the card. Lucky Listener cards will be home with sent Kindergarten children only. When 500 pages have been read to the child, the card may be returned to school. are Ready Grades Readers and are given prizes for reading 750 pages. Awards will be given every time a student reads 750 pages. A picture will be taken the first time this happens and then again after the child has received ten awards. The student will also receive a grand prize after ten cards. All children were dressed in costumes without masks. The Elwin Johnson family gave the Sunday night meeting in the Sutherland Second Ward. An Open House was held at the home of Phil and I.orenc Smith Sunday after Sacrament Meeting in honor of the Bryant Jones family. The new house of Warren and Janice Tenney is progressing. Their home is up by Bishop and Nayon Young and Dr. David llcnrie and family. A good view to see what neighbors in the valley are doing. Across from them and are Loretta Ray Needham and Tina and Mrs. Fern Foote. I can remember one house that just dominated that part of the area.
