Daily Herald publisher B.E. Jensen and staff photographer Meb Anderson attended the unusual press conference. and photographer Anderson returned with the above pictures. Mr. Jensen had the honor of flying with one of the Blue Angels before the above pictures were taken,andthepilot put his niane through manyof the same maneuvers seen here. At the topof the page,lined up nose to tail, the Blue Angels taxi along the runway at Salt Lake ‘The wavesof exhaustthat leave the tails of the F-4 Phantoms as they gracefully take off in formation give evidence of the tremendous power which these planes command. Flying wingtip over wingtip, the Blue Angels closely resemble the Air Force precision flying team, the Thunderbirds, which flew in Provo just afew weeks ago. Both teams fly the same type of aircraft, the versatile Phantom.
