Though immediately appealing and nonelitist In tone Vaughan Williams’ music has hidden depths and engageslisteners on several levels. The Temple Square Chorale and Orchestraat Temple Square, conducted by Mack Wilberg, will rive two performances this week of “An Evening of Music by Vaughan Williams,” one at the Salt Lake Tabernacle and the other at Libby Gardner Hall in Deen Square. (The Temple Square Chorale consists of new members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and singersfrom that choir whorotate through the chorale as part of their ongoing training.) Soloists for “Dona Nobis Pacem” are soprano Patricia Swanson and baritone Shane Warby. The cantata, 1965 on the Vanguard label.
