I thoughtit was an issue that would go away, and | wouldn't have to confess myignorance. But with the announcementof the LDS hurch’s plans for downtown, the issueis as ubiquitous as eveT First ofail, let’s deal with the ‘downtown”versus “Gateway” mystery. I hate to break it to you, but to most of us wholive along the Wasatch Front, The Gateway is downtown. I drive 10 or 15 miles on 1-15 to 600 South and exit to get downtown. The Gateway andthe other two malls are only a short walk Let’s draw an analogy. Say the kids in the neighborhood are starting a baseball team. The kid next door is a phenomenal shortstop and you need a shortstop in the worst way. Best ofall, he scores every time he comes up to bat. But he doesn’t want to play shortstop.
