Arcata Starter: The Arcata String Quartet, a professional ensemble in residence at Utah State University, opens its season with a free concert Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Morgan Theatre of the Chase Fine Arts Center on the Logan campus. The quartet — violinists Marjorie Bagley and Christopher Take- da,violist Brant Bayless andcellist Michael Carrera — will perform works of Beethoven, Walton and Mendelssohn.
