Emmylou Harris made this observation Thursday night during an extraordinary performance at the ZephyrClubin Salt LakeCity. Andradio programmersshould right a great wrong: Harris should bea staple on the radio — at least on country stations. And Nashville and the Stetson Hat boys, who have turned country musicinto big-ballad heaven, should takea look at Harris, who has made a successful career of moments, including the heartrending “Orphan Girl” and “Love Hurts,” performed in harmony with guitarist Buddy Miller. For the Zephyr crowd, having the chance to hear Harris’ achingly beautiful voice in a cozy venue was a large part ofthe attraction. Harris wastedlittle time between songs, and seemed happyto play in an intimate setting. “Tm glad to be back in this club,” said the gray-haired song stylist before launching into “Wrecking Ball.” “I remember you. The Zephyr is my kind of club.” Pod wi #CONTACT ro) wysear Ros (rc 4245 945 645 915 sistaDING e0 one | #FACE/OFF(015) HB 195 405 7:05 9:45 eu rrr LosingWeight and TAPUSnasacnTTT Hf Soho vs 2.00% The ErksonFamily of is, MO. is delighted to have discovered a wonderful restaurant in the heart of | e proved that she is not settling to portant figure in popular musi¢.
