NovellInc., valued at $4.5 billion, is 287th on thelist. The companylast year was ranked 122nd. American Stores is 306th with a value of $4.3 billion, having fallen from 287th last year. First Security Bank, valued at $2 billion, rose from 669th to 574th. Questar Corp. is 796th with a value of $1.3 billion; lomega Corp. is 889th with a value of $1.1 billion; and Zions Bancorporation is 907th with a value of $1.1 billion The Business Week 1,000 ranks the largest public companies by marketvalue.
