Show Cedar City, Utah, Dec. 14, o8. Iiditor Deseret Farmer, Salt Lake City, . . Dear Sir: I have" been taking flic j Deseret Parmer for some timefand K It read it with pleasure and interest, I am sure it is doing much good. 1 have a good, young horse that has been lame in one front foot for about three months. One of our neighbors who is considered an excellent ex-cellent hand with horses has been working with it, but we are unable to find out what is the cause, if you could give us some information we would appreciate it very much. The only mark I could find when he first got lame was a soft, white spot at the top of the heel, which looked like a gathering that would break in a short time but it failed to break, and didn't look as much like a gathering after as it did at first. We cut into the hoof from underneath under-neath and poulticed it, and a little matter came out, but he don't get any better or worse. He has had perfect rest all the time. Thanking you in advance for any information you can give. 1 am, . Respectfully yours, S. G. LEIGH. |
