He can penetrate on offense too, gaining seven assists in the teams big win over Bountiful earlier. McGill and Emery will be the big scorers for Davis. It looks as though Gardner will start Brent Padilla at the post position with letterman, Mike Kirkpatrick right behind. Brent did not even play last year. Tage Flint has been very strong off the bench for the Darts. Again Gardner was high on the Davis County tournament, saying it was a tremendous event for the fans. He explained that each city has fans who like to watch teams other than the one that represents their hometown. Now fans can go to one gym and see them all play, Gardner said. Gardner was confident that the NUMBER Davis County tournament ranks with all top basketball tournaments in the state, despite what anyone says.
