Three of Connollys seven seniors appear in the likes of pre-seas- three guards, Kevin Jensen, Ralph Anderson and Steve Shaw, The veteran Weber coach felt a team needed three strong guards with all the pressure defenses, Anderson has much im- provement in several areas., according to Connolly. Ralphs strong points seem to be his area, shooting in the taking the ball to the bucket on fast breaks, and ability to work hard in practices and games. Jensen is what Coach Connolly likes to can the "cement 'of the team. He is a team player, a good passer and is a taller guard at 6-- that can rebound well. Steve Shaw provides good shooting ability. Shaw is a careful player who admits that if he were a bit more aggressive he might be a better player. He is a tall forward who is a good inside power player. In the past he has had problems shotting off balance but has improved. Teams in Region One that plan to play a zone defense against the Warriors had better keep an eye out for Fuller. Miller is one who likes to make things happen fast and Coach Connolly will use him as a solid sixth man. Kennington is described as a smart player who has improved on his speed. Kory sometimes comes in first in team races, said Connolly who claims that is an improvement over put years, "In some ways you could probably call this a rebuilding year, even though we will have five seniors out there instead of a few juniors. The seniors have seen very little varsity action, we should be considered a very young team in some senses, said the Warrior coach. The seven juniors include Kelly Shaw, and Drew Skeen. 6-- 1. 5-- . Without question, Coach Connolly, who has served as the head coach of Weber High basketball teams for 12 years, feds that Sky View will have the team to beat in the 197980 basketball season. The Bobcats lave three players who have seen a load of varsity action in the past with Jon McKenna the standout. Connolly feels that Region One doesnt have a player like Montgomery last season who could average 10 rebounds a game and score consistently in double figures, with perhaps McKenna the ex-th-e ception.
