Page 1 1 hiD(os feSr Wahlquist Junior High reports that a successful 1979 Science Fair was conducted over the past few weeks in which several top award winners were named. Many of these winners will now prepare to compete in the Weber State Regional Science Fair. In ninth grade, Jill Smith took first place in Earth Science. Ron Kirby took first in Physical Science. In Life Science, Jennifer Jackson and Natalie DeVries took first place. Taking second in Life Science was Elizabeth Edgell. Third place went to Curtis Bitton and Jeff Lewis. Regen Nelson and Adrianna Austudillo took fourth in the ninth grade. In eighth grade, Earth Science winners were Corry Clark and Tod Williams. Second place went to Darryl Penland and Robby Mahas. Physical Science the winners were Kirk Jardine Brad Wayment. Taking second were Sheila Hancock and Shelly Barrow. Third place went to Bobbie Estep. Fourth place went to Blake Anderson. Honorable mention went to Kelly Altman and Jeanine Walton, ' and Mark Hansen and J.B. Griffin. Life Science winners in- cluded the Sweepstakes winner, Todd Schnck. First place went to Laurie Nelson and Tammy Billings took second. Placing third was Michelle Hansen. Other winners in this category included Dennis Poulsen and Roger Soren-Isen, Janae Barlow, Lori n first place. Placing second was Stacey Hansen, third place went to Louis McMiekel and Steven Griffin. Fourth place was taken by Chad Surrage and Glenda LaRue. Honorable mention awards were giver to Lynette Ropoleto and Karen Shelly Penman, Seegmiller, Clair Kirby, Heidi Clasen and Melinda Dina Chugg and Joan Slater, Sandy Nye, and Clair Kirby. Godfrey, Charlton and Trudy Flin-an- d ders. In the seventh grade, Hollie Heslop took first in Earth Science, John Jusko took second and Shauna Allred and Judy Robinson took third. In Physical Science, the first place winner and only winner was Shauna Stevens.
