He will be honored at an Eagle Court at the West Bountiful Seventh LDS Ward chapel, May 25, at 8 p.m.-H- e lists as his speakers, Walter Elsby, a former Scout leader and his brother Gary, also an Eagle Scout. , . Petersen said these two men were instrumental in motivating him to complete his Scouting requirements. Other Scou- ters invited to sit in the Eagles Nest are Roy Nicholson, the Scoutmaster, Chuck Simpson, John Taft and Wayne Hatch. Friends and neighbors of Petersen are invited. ; Petersen is a 1983 graduate of Viewmont High School and Seminary. He played football for two years for the school. He is very interested in sports. Pre-- , sently, he is learning carpentry. He has held various positions in his priesthood quorums in his church. Petersen has earned the Faith in God, Duty to God, On My Honor and Life awards prior to completing his Eagle Scout requirements. His Eagle project was gathering Christmas trees throughout the city.
