Butter To Be Given Away FARMINGTON Cheese and butter allotments for people age 59 and under will be given Saturday, April 23, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Davis County Courthouse, according to the Department of Human Services. The giveaway of USDA products is the continuation of a program implemented by President Reagan over a year ago to reduce the amount of cheese and butter stored by the government while helping and senior citizens reduce their food budgets. Since its inception, over 61,000 pounds of cheese and more than 12,000 pounds of butter have been given to Davis County resi low-inco- low-inco- "li ta ge dents under age 60. Similar amounts have been distributed to senior citizens by the Council on Aging. To qualify for the program, applicants must prove Davis County residency with any re- cent document verifying their current address, be under age 60, and sign an affidavit of economic need. The income guidelines are as follows: household size of 1 gross monthly income of $455; 2 -- - $611 ; 3 - $804 6 - $1440; 10 -- ; 4 - $960 '$1748. 8 ; -- 5 - $1220 guidelines since the intent is to help those having serious financial difficulties. Residents 60 years of age and older will receive cheese and butter at their assigned senior centers on April 28 and 29.
