| Show SUNDAY SCHOOLS EN MOUNG PLEASANT VALLEY WARD march 1 1887 editor deseret mews sunday the ol of february was a day memorable iu in the history ot of this ward our sunday school held its quarterly review and a splendid time was enjoyed great credit is due to those who took an active part in training the young people the rendering of the exercises being a complete success although we have had bad many reviews not one could be compared to that which was conducted son ducted on sunday it shows that a lively interest is being taken in the instruction of the young in instilling into their minds the liae aples of truth and a desire to the love of music solos choruses part singing duetts duetta recitations dialogues and speeches were the order of the exercises and to give preference to any would be au an act of injustice for all did well much credit is due to assistant superintendent eden for the arduous task lie he has performed in getting classes of small co ildren and teach teaching lug them ta sing alg no one until lately would undertake to do this brother eden bes leaving here and settling in castle valley when he does so ouri our Sunday school will sustain a loss in connection with other duties he is leader of the sunday school musical department and is organist tile the sunday schools in this part of the territory are in a flourishing flouris bine condition the roll will I 1 believe total somewhere about with an average attendance of this is good gobol considering that our ward is out nut small in numbers and that we occupy an isolated position in the tops of the mountains 11 our richards parmley r 0 eden and page there being a branch bra n ch at scofield over which assist supt bupt T P page has control are men or of energy and full of zeal in so noble a cause on sunday our large meeting house was crowded at both sessions afternoon and n night abt all available space being occupied and cons considering dering there were so many in mothers ot present with babes in their terms r mi a and the crowded state of the ho house a ae remarkable quietness ute thess prevailed W LAMPH ward cle I 1 |
