Show Sun Advocate, Price, Utah -- - Tuesday, March 24, 1998 3B MISSIONARIES Elder Atwood Elder Tyler Atwood will re- turn to the Carbon County area after serving in the Puerto Rico-Sa- n Juan Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elder Atwood will report his missionary experiences March 29 at 9 a m. at the Westwood LDS Chapel, located at 175 N. 1280 W est in Price. He is the son of Elwin and Peggy Atwood. Family and friends will visit at the Atwood residence after the meeting. Elder Price Elder Robert Shawn Price has been called to serve in the Pennsylvania-Pittsburg- Mis- h sion for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-daSaints. Elder Price's missionary farewell meeting will be March 29 at 9 a.m. at the Ferron LDS Stake Center. Elder Price will enter the missionary training center on April 8. Haley earned the honor by presenting a project she is working on with the adult students at her school. Haley is training the students to help with food preparation, work on a serving line and cleaning up. The students receive a paycheck for their work. Haley indicated that the feelh for the stuing of dents is the best part of working toward the award. Haley will be presented the award at the June School Food self-wort- Ward's wins Wards Famous Candies has been selected to receive the local First Year in Business award. The honor is presented by the Business and Technical Assistance Center. The award will be presented to owner Brenda Ward at the regular meeting of the Business and Technical Centers board of trustees meeting in March. Ward was nominated by her business peers from the commu BTAC honor nity and had to meet the criteria set forth for a new successful business in the area. Residents may sample candies produced by Ward by visiting area stores and boutiques. Residents may contact Ward at extension 446. The BTAC honor recognizes Wards professional contribution to the community and her hard work to qualify and receive the First Year in Business award. 637-503- The Reaveleys are from Price and the D'Amicos live in Salt Lake City. Owners indicated at the grand opening that their business is open seven days a week. Happy Sweet 16 Local Farm Bureau agent earns '98 company award Richard Hackwell has earned the Farm Bureau Financial Services presidents award because of high production and service to members. The Price resident is one of 50 qualifiers from the nearly 1,700 Farm Bureau agents eligible for the award. One of the company's top production honors, the award is presented to agents who provide a high level of service to clients. It is based on life, disability income, annuity and mutual fund production. Hackwell works from the Farm Bureau office in Price. He joined the company in 1987 and has consistently earned its highest production honors. Hackwell enjoys coaching Junior Jazz Basketball, Little League baseball and soccer.
