In the first meeting, the Golden Eagles took a lead into the seventh and final inning, only to see the Badgers come roaring back with six runs in the top of the seventh to make the game a little more exciting. The Eagles built up their big lead thanks in part to a fifth inning which certainly wasnt pretty, but was productive as the CEU men scored five runs on two base hits with runners in scoring position, a pair of bases loaded walks and a sacrifice fly 20-2- 9-- 0 ball. In the sixth, the Eagles once again loaded the bases, but despite doing so with nobody out, they were unable to capitalize SPORTS FANS! I BET and came up empty.
