Chrys is a graduate ofNotre Dame Regional School, Carbon High School and Yale University. She plans to pursue a career in academic medicine as a teacher, researcher and practicing physician. She is currently working in Philadelphia as a clinical research assistant for the anesthesia department at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Chrys is the fl a S 4 daughter of Alice Delling and the granddaughter of Remo Spigarelli. New pastor comes to Good Shepherd Beginning the month of August, Father Joseph W. Morris, S.J., has become the new pastor of Good Shepherd Catholic Church for East Carbon and Sunnyside, as well as the Mission Church of St. Michaels in Green River. Fr. Morris is a Jesuit priest from the California Province, coming to Utah from a large parish in Phoeniz, Ariz. Prior to his ministry in Arizona, he taught 15 years at Bellarmine College Prep., San Jose, Calif., as well as completing 10 years Fr. Joseph Morris of parish work in Santa Bar- bara, Calif. He was bom Aug. 7, 1928 in Cleveland, the son of Louis Peter and Mary Jane Ward Larsen. He married Mary Connie Bergera on May 25, 1957 in Cleveland; she died Nov. 4, 1986. He was a member of the LDS Church and a lifelong resident ofand Carbon counties, served in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict. He was a retired member of UMWA Local 9958. Kay enjoyed his ranching and farming, his family and especially his grandchildren, Katie and Jake. He is survived by one son and his spouse, Gregg and Helen Larsen of Spring Glen; two grandchildren, Katie and Jake. He is also survived by two brothers, one sister and their spouses, Donald and LaRue Larsen, Price; Delye and Loretta Larsen; Sherma and Lamond Gardner, all of Cleveland. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and one brother, Ranolda, Patsy and Delmo. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 20, at 11 a.m. at Mitchell Chapel, where friends may call daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The family will be at Mitchells Friday one hour prior to services. Interment, Price City Cemetery. John Charles Lofley Jr., 65, died Aug. 16, 1993 in Elmo. He was bom Feb. 2, 1928 in Castle Gate, the son of John Charles Sr. and Martha Mable Atwood Lofley. He married Ina LaRue Erickson Jan. 1, 1950 in Elmo. - He was a veteran of WWn, where he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the LDS y Church, served on the wn oil and waaa gun safety iiwtruc-,'- ? tor in Elmo.'He alwa ys- - enj6yed whether huntthe ing, fishing or just having his family around him. He was a member of the UMWA and worked in the coal mines for 38 years. He is survived by his wife, Ina LaRue; children, John Jerel and Mary Lofley; Blane Deloss and Theresa Lofley, Keith and Vonda-ka- y Lofley, all of Elmo; Sharlene and Neil Cook of Nephi; Lanore and David Cunningham of Price; 18 grandchildren and one Also survived by sister, Georgena Hansen; and brothers, Willard Tucker, Max Tucker, coun-Emer- great-grandso- Charles Lofley; and Einar and Ina Erickson. Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held in-law- s, Thursday, Aug. 19, at 1 p.m. in the Elmo LDS Chapel, where friends may call one hour prior to services. A formal viewing was held Wednesday at Fausett Mortuary in Price. Burial will be in the Elmo Cemetery.
