Sevier County vocal duo place in talent search Haley Wasden Winners were selected at the state finals of the Utahs largest amateur talent search contest, the Farm Bureaus Annual Talent Find, held Saturday, September 4, at the Utah State Fair. According to Greg Richman, Hyrum, chairman of the UFB Young Farmer & Rancher Committee which oversees the contest, winners were named in the junior and intermediate age group divisions. Meanwhile four finalists in the senior division were selected to participate in further competition later this fall. In the intermediate division, which featured performers 13 through 17, runners up were Sevier County vocal duo Dani Dahlsrud, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Dahlsrud. Salina, and Jessica Barney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Barney, Aurora. The Utah Farm Bureau Talent Find is the largest organized talent search for outstanding amateur talent conducted in the state. Over 700 participants have competed in four divisions in contests held by county Farm Bureaus throughout the state this past summer, Richman said. The state competition is held annually as a part of the Farm Bureau Day at the Utah State Fair.
