presiding singing was conducted under direction of brother R L ward elders karl G maeser and L john nuttall of the sunday school board were our visitors saturday 10 a m opening song by the congregation prayer was offered by patriarch nelson merkley jr join my ity sabbath home opening remarks were offered by first assistant superintendent J P rudy welcoming our visiting brethren and the superintendents officers and teachers of the various schools remarks were then received from assistant general superintendent K G maeser he said he desired de tired to ace iii an this as well as every stake conference from now on every carcer r and teach taking notes that they might mig ht have the points brought up in the special officers and teachers meeting that should always be held the next sunday following the stake conferences he stated that the mern members ibers of the union board desired questions pertaining to the sunday school work to be handed in at each session of the con conference ferenee that the points might be broi allt to ti the minds of if the visiting members and they thereby derive the benefit needed he also spoke of the superintendents giving their reports in answer to the twenty one questions asked by the union board and not bome come and give some goody goody talk and sit down down for flor by that they would receive no benefit whatever he explained that
