| Show ixdTfcjeuu-cxamn- out may may mam ww L r"'”' r' ay 7 through 13 is Teacher Appreciation Week Students in the Top of Utah were given the opportunity to thank their teachers for exceptional service through the Standard-ExaminApple for the Teacher Awards program They showed their gratitude by producing a bumper crop pf Apple for the Teacher nominations — over s this year Most of the nominations were from current students some were from older readers who remembered a special teacher 1000 were sent to the Standard-ExaminAll matte of the teachers nominated for Apple Awards are listed on these pages Several of thj teachers were nominated by more than one in difference their lives who a real student but are only listed once Each teacher nominated is a winner and will receive an Apple for the Teacher Award Certificate "along with the best reward the original nomination written by the student SEEK (Standard-ExaminEducates Kids) selects a few teachers each year for special Apple Awards Selecting just a few teachers for special recognition is always difficult All of the nominating letters deserve to be printed The final selection of these teachers was based on what the students wrote about their teachers The nominations of these teachers are printed hereTo thank these teachers for allowing us to share their nominations they will be presented with a plaque during a brief ceremony at the Apple for the Teacher Open House All of the teachers listed on these pages and the students who nominated them are invited to the Apple for the Teacher Open House Tuesday May 9 from 7 to 8 pm at en Union Station (25th and Wall) The certificates can be picked up by teachers at the open house SEEK is proud to sponsor the Apple for the Teacher Awards and thanks teachers for their hard work anJ oL ' er v er er r ‘ ?
