ripening harvesting and threshing of grain for the growth of well irrigated crops in the vicinity of peoa geoa summit county a severe thunderstorm accompanied compa nied by heavy rain occurred on the causing considerable damage by lodging grain and wetting timothy and wild hay down in the fields there was no frost reported during the week the grain harvest Is over in many districts and threshing is in progress the yield by machine measure is uniformly light all over the state although there are a few localities where the grain has turned out much better than expected haying continues with exe exceptionally eption ally good weather for cutting and stacking there has been no great improvement in the condition of corn potatoes and other late crops during the week the hot dry weather having operated to retard growth sugar beets are ripening rapidly and digging will soon commence plowing for fall grain Is about to commence in various parts of the state remarks of correspondents BEAVER
