In case you havent heard, they won an amazing game against Roy, and right as I am writing this article, they are on their way to a playoff game to determine who will go into the state tournament. I sure hope they won! Well, there is more to life, and newspaper articles, than basket-- s ball. The Shakespearean Festival was held last week, and from what I understand, it was an excellent performance. Congratulations to rdl those who took part in the festival. Layton was also represented at the Davis County Science Fair. Several awards were given to students from Layton. The twelve Sterling Scholars from Layton High have been chosen. They are now preparing for the competition in March. Good luck to the Sterling Scholars Thanks to the cheerleaders and Lancelles for the pep rally Friday. It was very entertaining, especially the drill down and the ice cream contest, which proved that sophomores really do have big mouths. And now for the thought of the week, which is very similar to the previous thought of the week. Do you realize that there are only three more months of school? Yea! Hang in there seniors, its almost over! Well, this really is short, but there isnt much to say. Good luck to the basketball team as they enter the state tournament, if they enter the state tournament, and everybody have a great week! ! , Medical-Dent- Spring Draper, al 1st; Rachael Folkman, 2nd; Brandi Gabardi, 3rd and Honorable Men- 3rd and Honorable Mention Awards to Emily McCormick, Cordova Johnson, Mike Erekson, Dale Bushman and Lora Cummings.
