you are living in the midst of zion environed by influences conducive to good training and intellectual moral and spiritual development yuu you have sunday schools that outstrip those oi of the world in all particulars you have your associations that are tar superior to any 1 have yet seen out of utah your priesthood meetings reading societies and faith promoting exercises are such as only latter would have you prepare yourselves develop eaith seek for wisdom work for intelligence and atall at all times honor your callings in the church of god many missionaries who come into the world have never applied them selves at home as you I 1 hope are now doing they are not prepared to perform their duties and become discouraged frequently and go home in fla els honor you should study good books take up the book of Mo mormon ripon and learn a little each day learn something each day the successful ful financier saves something each day be it only one cent ceat for you know the vast ocean is labors here I 1 would d dishonor my parents and you my ky brothers and sisters would have cause to be ashamed of me I 1 love my brothers and sisters and therefore want to work in honor to them I 1 want them to be proud ot of me and me of them I 1 am busy and must close my work keeps me busy I 1 am happy and contented I 1 know the prayers of loved ones does at home are daily offered for me I 1 hope you my dear brothers will grasp the situation and put forth every effort in the direction of righteousness you we are entitled to pleasure but only engage in m in innocent nogent pleasure and do
