Treasury Department by the Amer-ca- n copper industry, for Use in the Independence bond sale drive now on. On June 6 the bell will be on display at piysville from 3 to 5:30 p. m. On June 7 it (viH at Farmington from noon until 2 p. , at Clearfield from 3 to 5:30 p. m., and at ayton from 6 to 8 p. m. Just as the i original liberty bell summoned the patriots of 1776 to the protection t - f S! S Q-- y i -- f I , - their newly proclaimed independence, so does the replica send out its message to present-da- y patriots. The purchase of liberty bonds is an act of patriotism, and at the same time a sturdy business transaction that pays. off. The buyer provides for his own future and at the 5ame time helps strengthen the Government upon which that future depends. Davis county's quota is $125,000, of which $22,000 has already been subscribed to. The Independence drive will end on July 4. Independence Day could not be more fittingly observed, than with a proclamation that the liberty bond sales quota had been achieved. of f |
