Kurszewski PL AST R West 2700 DESIGN, South, which opened two weeks ago, is the new face on Main Street. Tori Curtis is 9120 proprietress and resident artist of the establishment. She is also the wife of Paul Curtis and a mother. Her son, Devan, is 21 months old. Mrs. Curtis, a Magna resident all of her life, began her plaster business in her home eight months ago. Paul, a carpenter, let Tori know that his shop was just not big enough for the two of them as plaster projects began stacking up on his benches and saw tables. There arent any plaster shops in the area and since I now make all the gifts I give, maybe this shop will provide a way for others to make gifts for birthdays, showers, Christmas, holidays, Plaster coloring applies' paint to a lion wall plaque. Each hobbyist chooses his or her project and applies paint or pastels using several techniques. A rainbow of different colors allows the finished piece to be expressive of each individuals personal taste. Classes are offered at the shop for those beginning to learn the art of plaster painting. Adult classes meet every Tuesday and Thur- sday from 1 to 3 p.m. and Wednesday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m. Childrens classes are Mondays and Fridays from 12 to 1 p.m. Tori began her own interest in painting statuary and plaques through five years Table and 4 chairs, quality made. TWO FINISHED Collisions Frequent Problem By Karen Whaley Every year in Utah, hundreds or thousands of deer are killed by vehicles on there highways. In 1977-7- 8 were 1,962 deer killed on home by the driver who hit it or by a passing motorist. This is unlawful according to the Utah State Code, and any person or persons caught with such deer will be issued a citation and the deer seized. The fine in such violations can be severe and even vehicles carrying this wildlife could be seized. If you happen to hit a deer or see one along side the highway, call the Utah Highway Patrol Dispatcher or the Division of Wilife Resources and report the location of the deer.
