Members of the ward boutrht hot dogs, chips, punch and scones for dinner. Homemade goodies of. candy, pies, cookies, cakes and popcorn were for sale during the various games. the Priesthood Members Melchizedek of Committee challenged four different teams to play them a game of basketball. They included the Relief Society, Jr. Mens team, Senior Mens team, and the young womens team. A very special half time entertainment was by the group This was a Marvelettes. drill team conmarching sisting of men from the ward. presented the Pepperoni business from which the pizzas had been ordered. At 7 a.m. on the morning of November 17, over 30 members of the Lake Ridge Third Ward met: at the church to make and deliver the pizzas. An assembly line formed as the dough was put through the press and pizzas put together. At 9 a.m. all was cleaned up and the job completed with only a few pizzas left for delivery. Over $400 was made and donated to the Lake Ridge was , Third Ward budget. Ward members expressed satisfaction with the taste and quality of these excellent pizzas. : The event was considered Joy Reesor from the Lake Ridge third ward was named most valuable player. For two and a half, weeks prior to Saturday November 17, the youth took orders from Ward members, friends, and family for a variety of pizzas. This year there were four wards participating, Lake Ridge Second, Lake Ridge Third, Lake Ridge Fourth, and the Lake Ride Sixtfo. The first award to be grv&i was for Participation. It went to the Lake Ridge Second Ward with a total of 255 points which averaged out to 42.5 per cent. Second place went to the Lake Ridge Fourth Ward, Third Place to Lake Ridge Third Ward and Fourth Place to the Lake Ridge Sixth Ward. The first place team will receive team pictures for each team member and an award certiificate for each girl. The Most Valuable Player Award was given next. This year the award went to the Lake Ridge Third Lake Ridge Third Ward coached by Cheryl Fritsch. They will also receive a basketball, team picture and the award certificate.
