Ted has been a streak player and when hes hot he is tough ' to stop. We are looking for more consistentency from Ted this year. This summer Ted was named to the Tournament Team in the B.C.I. league. SCOTT LARSEN, 62-- , Forward, is returning from last years varsity team with a 57 per cent shooting average from the field in varsity action. He will be expected to provide some of the stability our team needs. His varsity experience and knowledge of the game, combined with his dedication to defense, will help anchor basketball team. 1979-8- 0 1979-8- 0 PLAYERS JUNIORS: DENNIS RUPP, 63- Guard, is an outstanding, talented ball player. He is a good ball handler and shooter. He shot a respectable 69 per cent from the foul line last year in the J.V. in several program, pressure situations. He also led the team in assists with 35. He comes from a talented line of athletic brothers. His brother, Kerry, is the head basketball coach at Murray High School. Dennis has grade point average. DEE HUBER, 84-- a 3.7 , Forward, is a strong, agile player who moves to the basket very well. His size and soft touch make him an effective player on the offensive board. His quickness allows him to gain good defensive position and draw the offensive foul. STERLING CLOWARD, 6T Guard. The Pirates staff considers Sterling one of the most dedicated guards in recent history. His speed is excellent. To go along with this, he handles the ball and shoots very well. He is a hard worker and our team. TIM GIBLETTE, Forward, is a good shooting and rebounding forward. He shot 42 per cent on the year lasst year as a J.V.er. He also is a good defensive player. Tim has a 3.9 grade point average this year. KARL CLOWARD, 510, Guard, is a quick, playmaking guard. He has varsity experience and shot 45 per cent from the field last year in the J.V. ranks. He is exceptionally good at driving to the basket. Karl is coming ff a great football season where he was starter in the defensive backfield. 6-- 5, . 69, Center, will be an important part of our offense and defense this year. He brings much needed varsity playing experience, as well as size to our team. Mike is a much Deadens meet i improved player and is deadly with that 6 foot hook JEFF JOHNS, 66, Center, has shown that defense is important to him. He will be called on to the middle stop-u- p defensively. He has also shown that he can score and go to the boards. Jeff has a 3.99 grade point average this year. MIKE MITCHELL, 66, Center, is a competitor. He has worked very hard since last season on developing his basketball skills'. His improvement is shown in his (day.
