oft offering ering to deliver th the e pipe I 1 e fa in question at salt lake gip city ty for per ton this is fifty cents below that of rhode bros As a large proportion odthe of the pipe i e used by the city use has been famished ty by this company I 1 do not understand why a bid was not solicited from it by the company in the present case the acceptance of this bid would save to the city over and I 1 beg leave to remind the honorable president and council that in the former case in which this same committee was authorized to make the purchase in the same sam irregular manner as has been followed in the present case came I 1 was able to save the city W moran I 1 will awill say that the committee did solicit bids irow from the company referred rel erred to in his honors communication set in front of the property belonging to alfred best beat had been set act by private contract and was accept able and recommended that the tax be cancelled additional cancellation the same body
