BUILDING MAT MATTERS athe committee on sites and buildt buildings a go reported that the engineer had fur the board free of charge a copy of the map of the annexed district and same had be enfiled they recommended that the clerk be instructed ted to acknowledge the receipt of same accompanied by the thanks of the board adopted the same committee reported that hat they had employed mr C low a mechanical engineer as an expert to examine the beating plants in the school buildings appended to the committees report was a report from the expert recommending certain im at the lincoln hamilton and bryant buildings the committee also submitted a statement that the cost of heating beating the buildings per day was as follows fourteenth school lowell school hamilton school bryant school lincoln school the re ports were filed the same committee recommended that 1500 be appropriated to 8 W morrison bondsman for telfor Telfer hunsaker contractors on the franklin school building on the execution and acceptance of a bond in the sum of 2000 with the usual provisions adopted the same committee asked that authority be granted them to lit fit up the two basement rooms in the sumner school building and the three basement roms boms ro ms in the washington building for school purposes also that they be permitted to substitute homemade home made tile for jackson school building mouth month teachers whose previous ions salary in these schools was 60 per month and whose work will not warrant an increase to exceed 5 per month new teachers of more than two years experience class 3 70 per month teachers whose previous salary in these schools was 60 and whose work was entirely entire lv satisfactory teachers whose previous salary in these schools was 65 per mouth month but whose work will not warrant an increase greater than 95 5 per month new teachers whose experience has been long and success exceptional I 1 class 2 75 per month teachers whose previous salary in these schools w A as pa 65 per month and whose work was uniformly excellent teachers whose previous salary in these schools was 70 per month and whose work was uniformly excellent new teachers of long experience thorough professional training good scholarship and undoubted sue cons cess class L 1 80 per month teachers who during their previous year of service in these schools were of class 2 and whose improvement in scholarship teaching skill and power of school management has been great note 1 1 in no case is any teacher during her first year of service in these theme schools schoola to be paid according to basis of class 1 note 2 any teacher whose work for a year in these schools shows no improvement may be retained for fora second year without increase of salary note 3 any teacher receiving less than 75 per month whose work is such as to render her ineligible for employ an increased salary for more than two years shall be deemed unfit for longer employment principals pals the principals salary as a teacher shall be governed by the rule adopted for assistant teachers it may therefore be 70 75 or 80 per month depending upon experience success etc in addition to his salary as a teacher as above defined each principal shall receive f 50 per year for each assistant teacher in his corps it then a principal receives 75 per month initial salary he would in ease case of three assistants receive 90 six assistants eight assistants si stants twelve assistants fourteen assistants assist antip in case of teachers whose initial salary should be 80 per mouth month each of the above would be increased 5 per mouth month rendering the highest possible salary for of fourteen room buildings I 1 1500 per year high school teachers class clan 2 90 per month inexperienced teachers class 1 per month experienced teachers during their first year of service in our high schools note 1 beginning with the second year of service in this school the salary of each teacher ashall be
