| Show WOMANS SUFFRAGE ENDORSED the following la Is an extract from the live stock journal or of cheyenne of the last inet yesterday afternoon mr hurd of evanston introduced the follow ing joint regola re golu tion and it pawed the house unanimously as it will most likely the foe senate today the Damo democrat oral bakia pleasure in concurring anti ana seconding a demand for the universal elfran chist ment of women the resolution la Is as follows be it resolved by the second legislature of the state of wyoming that the possession and exercise or of suffrage by the women in wyoming for the put part quarter of a century has wrought no harm and has baa done great good jim in many ways way thea that it has largely aided in banishing crime pauperism and vice from the state and that without any violent or oppressive legislation that it has haa secured peaceful and orderly elec t ions good government and a remarkable degree of civilization and public order and we point with pride to the facts thai after nearly twenty five years of woman suffrage not one county it in wyoming has haa a poor house that our jails are almost empty and crime except that committed by strangers in the state almost unknown and as the result of experience w e urge every civilized community un on ea earth rth to enfranchise its women wit without out delay resolved that an authenticated cc copy of these resolutions be forwarded by tty the e governor of the state to the legislature of every state and territory in this country and to every legislative body in the world and that we request the press throughout the civill civilized zed world to call the attention of their readers to these theme resolutions |
