have no water running from there to pipe as ordered by the honorable city council I 1 will also state that if we weme running our tannery in a manner causing us to use water as alleged we would still on the dollar carried ASSESSORS compensation councilman lynn moved that assessor clutes clotea compensation be fixed at 2 per cent as the valuation was higher than last year when the compensation was vt per cent councilman anderson anderaon moved that it remain at aj per cent councilman hyde was wag of the opinion that aj 2 per cent was excessive and should be reduced councilman young concurred saying that it would bring the collector about he did not know what the expenses of the collectors office which 1 came out of this amounted to hut but he favored the idea of fixing a salary for the officer and having the city pay the ex expenses anses of the office councilman pickard offered an amendment amount be fixed at 2 per cent the amendment was carried HARDYS resolution councilman hardy offered a resolution requiring the salt lake and hot springs springe railway company to put the street and crossings along the line in good condition within 60 days or elbe forfeit its franchise
