introduced to him by mrs hart a lady neighbor whom I 1 have known since I 1 was a mere child attar after the introduction I 1 was invited out buggy riding with her and the said mr hall was ane driver I 1 did not know that they had bad plotted any harm against me I 1 trusted her as a friend and him as a gentleman eitleman ent leman and she cannot say that I 1 g sifted arted with or gave him any cause to increase his thoughts to me nor did I 1 dream of anything but friendship but nevertheless she became jealous and told me not to come over any more for she was afraid that mr hall woula would with me but I 1 refused him time and time again but he gave me no peace I 1 asked the advice ofay of my parents and they said there theme was no harm in speaking to him and it was the old story I 1 abolia about when a young woman came in and handed a pistol to one of the officers leers off saying here I 1 have shot my betrayer the officer took it and handed it to me she handed kne ine a letter I 1 asked her to step into my office which she did she said the shooting occurred ou on the corner of first and C streets sent captain lange and patrol wagon there and telephoned dr meacham about twenty minutes later a m messenger informed me the man was dead I 1 telephoned the coroner for authority to remove the body As I 1 could not find him I 1 then sent for mr evans evana the undertaker and a messenger to Cap captain tair lange to bring the body here dr meacham mcacham gave directions for the disposition of the body the girl mentioned said her name dame was amanda olson mr young showed the letter and pistol the latter was a 32 caliber double artion affair with one empty chamber john F olson the girls father testified as follows while going home from work on monday evening saw a crowd of
