traced the history of the united states from the first until now when it has become one oae of the foremost and most powerful nations of the earth the orator dwelt at some length on the genius of the constitution of our nation and the intent of the framers to give the utmost liberty and freedom both civil and religions relia ions to all lie he was frequently interrupted by vigorous applause THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER BANKER was beautifully sung sang by miss mollie puelan hon D H peery made a brief but p patriotic patriotic atri otic speech in his characteristic style sy t e he predicted that the government of the united states would increase and extend over the earth until every civilization will be brought under its influence the flag of our union was sung by miss flora purdy after a brief speech by judge K R K williams and music by the banda vote of thanks was awarded to the speakers reader the singers and the band A twelve noon the chaplain pronounced pronounce d the benediction thus ended the morning exercises the great greatest elit harmony and peace prevailed and no nothing hing occurred to mar the happiness of et the occasion AFTERNOON A great part of the afternoon was
