Coach Joy Peterson even showed up in her new hot pink Coral Bay aqua socks. I thought they looked cool, she said of her teams fall colors. By days end, Peterson was able to see many of her new freshman players as the Lady Birds split the games, winning the first 2 and losing the nightcap 14-From the opening pitch Muir set out to prove that the phrase sophomore slump was not in her vocabulary. Then newcomer Tina Sperry from CEU wasted no time with her first at bat, singling in Reynolds with a shot up the middle. Darian Knoblock stepped up with two on and blooped a hit into right field and then turned on the speed, stretching it into a triple that knocked in two runs.
