Show THE THUNDERBIRD TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 29, 1987 PACE 25 WITH THIS COUPON-- Jazz return to Centrum -- Oct. 14 game with Clippers on tap The Utah Summer Games committee under the direction of BEEF e CHEDDAR Rich Wilson will again this year bring the Utah Jazz to southern Utah and the Centrum for an exhibition game. This year's opponents for the Jazz are the Los Angeles Clippers. Three days of open practice, a dinner, and a golf tournament are also on the agenda. Last year's JazzSonic game was a sellout and Wilson says, "It is important that we sell out again this year just to break even." According to Wilson, "the event is a break-eve- n proposition with the benefits coming to the college and Games in the form of national, state and local recognition." Since this is the biggest financial risk the Summer Games undertakes, Wilson stresses the need for student involvement. One thousand students bought tickets last year and an equal number are needed to be sold this year to insure a sellout. Students can purchase tickets at a $1 discount. Tickets are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Centrum offices. Plenty of good seats are still available for the Wednesday, Oct. 14 game. The Jazz will travel by bus from Salt Lake on Oct. 10 and hold a double session of practices on Sunday and Monday. All practices are open to the public and will take place in the Centrum. On Monday night the Jazz will take a break from the and participate in a banquet in the Great Hall. On Tuesday, a morning practice is planned with the players taking the afternoon off to participate in the first ever southern Utah celebrity golf classic. Proceeds from the event go to it Intermountain Health Care, a organization. On Wednesday the team will have a shootaround in the morning and play the L.A.
