Gage Vice President: Cory Lytle Adviser: Gary Snowder The purpose of the club is to create an interest and enthusiasm toward the college and the agriculture program Special activities include sponsoring various socials through the year Dinners at the College Cabin, yearly agriculture trips to Denver or Cal Poly or Arizona are included. Meetings are every Wednesday at 5 p m. in the Science Building Vice President: David Phillips Adviser: M.R. Jones One hard charging new club is the Chess and Draughts Club. This organization promotes social and competitive chess and checkers at SUSC. Anybody who plays or is interested in learning how to play is encouraged to join the club. Meetings are the first day of every school week from 3 to 6 p.m. in Library 302. Consistent recipient of homecoming awards. A group that makes things happen. X President: Chris Goslin Vice Presidents: Scott Boyce, Bill Miller Adviser: Randy Christiansen C.C.M.L.D.A., one of the more serious clubs on campus known for their interpersonal relationships and emotional development. The club will provide leadership skills through friendly athletics. BLACK STUDENT UNION COMMUNICATION CLUB President: Friday Odong Adviser: Lynne Finton This club's primarily a social club that offers social activities, a support friendship group that promotes pride and understanding of black cultural issues. Adviser: Pat Paystrup The purpose of this club is to expose students to professionals in the business, with job placement skills and understanding among future media professionals. BROADCASTERS CLUB EDUCATION CLU3 President: Julie Sacos i i President: Christine Camp Adviser: Lionel Grady Broadcasting Club provides students with the opportunity to work with and gain practical experience in the television broadcastirg industry The club also plans to do a h'gh school seminar on television Actively participates in campus activities Provioes a medium for other club and organizations on campus to advertise activities on Cable Channel Nine at no cost Meetings are held on Mondays at 2 p.m. President: Marjean Davis Adviser: Don Reid The Education Club wants to become better acquainted with the UEANEA, scholarships, and with educators around the area They want to become a club on campus with opportunities for anyone involved in education. CAMPUS CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP FORTY AND OVER President: Jamie Vogt Adviser: John McCandless The main purpose is to ha- e fellowship between Christian students which is group oriented, with Bible study, films, outdoor activities. The club is sponsored by the Presbyterian Church and is a part of the United Campus Ministries. - well-know- n Chairperson: Joanne Barton Adviser: Diana Giddings Forty and Over is a newly formed club that students over the age of forty can find fellowship, similar interests and activities specifically unique to this group, quickly growing in numbers. The club also assists and acts as a support group to help each other feel as part of the whole of SUSC. |
