We really need the support. ); ), Intramurals gearing up for fall quarter activities by Monica M oe As the new year begins and all of us are returning to the campus, one of the main concerns is, What am I going to do for entertainment? Well, Tom Kingsford, director of intramurals, has the answer. Join the intramurals. Kingsford and student directors, Karen Snarr and Derrin Gardner, have coordinated an exciting schedule to keep the community of SUSC physically I want to fit and entertained. see the students take advantage of what theyve invested in, themselves. Its not just for advanced skill levels of athletes, I want to see participation from the college community of all skill levels, said Kingsford. The intramural program is sponsored by student fees. In the view of Kingsford he thinks that all students should get involved with the program because part of the money they pay is used to support intramurals. It is designed to be a benefit to the campus for all to enjoy. Sept. 29 is the opening Week. This day of Kick-Of- f week will include a fun run in conjunction with SUSCs football game against Mesa. Oct. 1 will be a day full of 1-- 15 unstructured activities. On Oct. 2 the first organized activity will be held: mens and womens flag football. Later in the month, on the 12th, there be a will best ball golf tournament. This will be held at the Cedar Ridge Golf Course. Nov. 2 will host an exciting event in conjunction with Homecoming Week. The Great Bike and Fun Run race will take place. This race will be a coed event with the man running the laps and the woman riding the bike. The schedule will continue through fall quarter with a coed volleyball tournament on two-perso- re open 24 hours for your convenience Snacks , Pop, Mot Dogs, Magazines and Much More Nov. 12. The annual Turkey Trot on Nov 21, just before Thanksgiving vacation. Finally, rounding out the fall events, will be the Holiday Bowl bowling tournament held Dec. 6. This is the fall schedule of events planned by the intramural department. They would like to formally invite all of the campus community to get involed.
