Then they went back to work under exactly the same legislative package which they had previously spumed. (Pause to comment: Read that last sentence again. Yep. Thats what happened.) not against General Motors nor CBS nor yet Alcoa, but eyeball to eyeball against the general public itself, which elects the local school boards and which runs the whole state. And the Florida citizenry eight years ago simply was outraged at the very idea of public servants striking against the people. So the teachers took a beating Irrational Proceding To me, this whole proceeding seemed feverishly irrational at the time it occurred, but , the later returns filtered in on this exercise in futility, it assumed even more of an hue of unreality.
