against wicked calumny and aspersions is strong proof of their sincerity sin bin sincerity cerit and devotion devotion to the religious bus bbs faith ati ari and aud yd social docial system to the up building they have made so many and consecrated their lives better wives or nobler mother we have never seen peen than areto bo ba found in utah by their rich fruits they MV may be known no children been a people nor do we believe in their existence who havo bavo hav made such complete conquest af odthe the monstrous evils that invade vade 0 all other form forma of civilized society nor is it just to say that polygamy is the price that is paid for these immunities this really has very tery little to do with mith it t mt it has bas nothing whatever to do with it so far as the youth and the un married and anti polygamous portion of the community is concerned which compose a large majority of the people it all belongs to their moral and religious tea teachings hangs and is the legitimate earnestness of the convictions of f the women of utah utts in regard lo 10 their pecullar peculiar religious and social system the letter bears the signature of twenty one prominent lady members jo of its protective system but experience teaches the necessity of preparing to meet things as they are and not as they should be mr editor probably you are sufficiently aware that an inquisition similar to that of other times and in other othar p places laces if not exactly in the same 0 order r der precisely in the same spirit has been established in salt lake cit city and that the people called mormon Mor mons ya are the victims of its vindictiveness his honor the inquisitor general aided by a clique of unscrupulous co eo assumes the prerogative of disbursing life liberty and the pursuit buit suit of happiness according to his own will and pleasure which makes it very uncertain what a day may bring forth the accusers of the bi ethren brethren have implicated us in some of their
