Then he flew to Chicago to record the address for broadcast at 10:30 p.m. EST (8:30 p.m. MST) on the CBS television network. At a breakfast meeting Friday morning, McGovern told a group of clergymen and lay churchmen that hes more skeptical than ever that President Nixon will achieve a peaceful settlement in Vietnam. He accused Nixon of setting a low AEC Posts moral standard for the nation and said the war has become a cause we are no longer walling to die for, but one we are willing to kill for. McGovern said the issue of morality in government is a transcendent one in his campaign and that on election day voters will make one of the most impor tant choices in American history.
