the testimony given at the inquest was read and the case contina ed were each placed under bonds hill furnished his bail at once and was liberated but nielson being less fortunate remained over night in jail but succeeded in obtaining that amount this afternoon the tho verdict ata at 4 yesterday afternoon coroner taylor heid held an inquest upon the body of joseph bagley the facts in the evidence presented to the jury were substantially the same arwe as we published last evening and a verdict was rendered as follows that deceased came to his death from strangulation caused by nis own hands while temporarily insane in the northeast room of house number third south street between ethe ithe hours of 10 p in of December eith Kith and 7 a ili iii of december 1884 the jurors were hylun J Lam lamoreaux breaux who was found guilty by the logan Justi justl justices ses ces court of stealing the driftwood ile he declared tile the case ought never to have gone into court and so the affair is dismissed the costs will fall on cache counte it was an unfortunate suit and probably ably those who pushed it to such an issue will learn a valuable lesson the young man is cleared f from roni the wm and milo billo tullis of that place who it will be remembered were killed by the tailing falling in of the root roof under which they were sleeping As the particulars were given in the tele telegram iram published we deem it unnecessary to repeat them they were the sons sous of david W tullis and aged respectively 12 and 9 years vears at the time pf af the fatal occurrence fence bro tullis was not at home but the neighbors being bein summoned worked as fast as possible to clear away the debris and get out the bodies but did not succeed until afterlife after life ilfe was extinct the funeral services were held last sunday and the two brothers were buried burled side by side in one grave crase the family have the sympathy of the w whole hole hoie community sisters quarterly morning the quarterly conference of the primary association was held in the same place mrs ellen C clawson presiding there was quite a good attendance of children from the wards in the city and some upon mr fred clawson one of the gentlemanly ushers of the salt lake theatre and mr C H wilcken one of the police olice officers of this city I 1 by giving a faise raise false faise statement regarding an incident that occur red in the theatre on wednesday night the genuine facts reflect credit rather than otherwise upon those gentlemen mcclarey Mr Clarey speaker of the house of representatives presenta tives of the idaho legislature and judge willard crawford crawfo rd also from idaho both bein being under the influence of liquor entered the dress circle of the theatre carrying with them a quantity of refreshments ants which they handed about and kept up loud talking during the performance much to the annoyance of people near them who ha had d come to be entertained the usher twice requested them to keep quiet but they merely made offensive remarks to him and refused ref used to subside ile he notified officer wilcken who also requested them to be still telling them that if they did not lie he should be tob iob obliged liged to have them withdraw they paid no attention to this admonition and tind when spoken to a second time by mr one of the two merely pushed a handful ul of candy towards him clarey and crawford were then requested by the officer to leave the building buil bull din which they did james A mcknight a tribune reporter stepped 1 up ap and interfered saying these men have not d done one ono anything offensive or something to that effect the officer told him to leave or he would slap his face so he retired in the meantime sheriff homer of Idah ohad come out and interceded intercedes inter ceded for clarey clarcy and crawford and the officer said he be was quite willing t at the they y should reenter re enter the theatre if they would pass their word that they would keep still crawford at thi this S point threatened to make it hot for the officer causing the latter to change his mind ann the two were in marched arched toward the the city hall they begged to be let off and on sheriff homer agree inc ing in to be responsible for their nood good conduct the officer let them go and the sheriff took them to the metropolitan yesterday moi mor morning edg both clar ciar clarey ey and crawford called upon prevailed upon him to ride butina out in a carriage with them and apologized for their unbecoming behavior at their desire he also accompanied
