What a great combina- t s ' ks 4W1?44'::T - 0 Bo-Care-e0- 10 i x - By Ray Herbat Tribune Sports Writer OGDEN — Tom Bokarae Weber Scate's quarterback earned his spurs the hard way o k a r a e (pronounced a junior college ) transfer from Santa Ana convinced coach Sark Calif Arslanlan he should be the Wildcats' No 1 quarterback and at the same time gained a full measure of respect from his teammates But he had to do it the hard way Bokarae came to Weber's late summer camp with only the promise from Sark that he would get a chalice at quarterbacking the Wildcats He had to fight off the challenge ‘ issued by veteran Bob Quarry and promising redshirt John Smith Frankly Sark didn't know which of these quarterbacks he would employ hi raarcotui B eOtnuer nightti cned Ordiit a narily quarterbacks a valuable piece of flesh and bones on any team are not supposed to get hit much less racked up in piactice scrimmages But Bokarae did this parfic- ular night In fact he almost got killed "Our defense really tore into him" Sark explained "On a couple of plays he got almost cut in half!"
